Pregnant In Your 40s? These 6 Celebrities Have Embraced It

Forty is the new 20 — yes, even when it comes to pregnancy. As more and more celebrity women are getting pregnant after reaching the big 4-0, it seems increasingly normal to start this new milestone later in life. In fact, a 2025 report by the National Center for Health Statistics found that more women over 40 are giving birth than teenagers! However, it's not all glowing hormones and easy outcomes. Often, women in their 40s experience more challenges than younger women in getting pregnant and carrying a pregnancy to term.

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), fertility begins to decline at age 30, and by age 45, it's less likely that a woman can get pregnant without intervention. This is because the number of eggs women have decreases over time, and those eggs are more likely to develop abnormalities that don't lead to healthy pregnancies. Women are also more likely to develop conditions that affect fertility by their mid-40s. Once you do get pregnant, there are additional obstacles to consider, such as increased risk of preeclampsia.

Still, because of advanced care with doctors and fertility treatments, women are embracing their 40s as their prime stage of life rather than considering it middle age. Sienna Miller welcomed two of her three babies in her 40s, one at 42 and one at 44, and she preferred it. She described her 30s as "chaos" in a March 2026 interview with Glamour, adding, "But by the time you hit 40, you're like, 'I kind of know who I am. I don't really give a s— about what anyone else thinks.' I'm a much more grounded human." And she's seemingly not the only celeb with this mindset.
